Nickel and Dimed
I believe barbra ehrenreich's troubles are brought on by herself. even though shes conducting an experiment, i feel as tho it is readily known that one person cannot survive on a single job that is minimum wage. The income she gets does not allow her to support herself, and the first two jobs become way too physicall demanding for her. I feel as though it is a good enough experiment, but its already known that surviving on minimum wage is near impossible

I agree. It may already be known that it is hard to live on one job that pays minimum wage, but I think the book serves to bring to attention the raw details of how the working class lives. Ehrenreich showed the readers the hardships many of the working class people face by living them herself.
